In 2004 Matt Howell and Yuri Mekhanik saw a  gap in what the current market was offering as solutions to business, and so they founded sharp i.t. Having held leadership positions in several of today's most influential companies, Matt and Yuri understood how important technology was to efficiently executing the business process.  
 
The founders realized that the high prices of essential Content Management Systems and communication technology was avoidable. They also realized that a critical point of failure for many technological solutions, was their dependence on cutting edge technology in a way that was inaccessible to the not necessarily tech savvy business champion.  Matt and Yuri felt that these gaps could be easily closed through the fusion of existing proprietary frameworks and emerging open source products.  They have shown that the only part of a proposal that should have a large dollar amount is cost savings! 
  
As sharp i.t. continues to grow, they have formed strategic alliances with both In-Sourcing and Out-Source companies allowing them to tailor each solutions to the specific needs of their customers.
